Sock Crush June 2018
Our June 2018 Sock Crush box includes:
Allegretto is a brand-new base exclusive for now to Sock Crush subscribers, hand dyed by Canada’s Sweet Paprika Designs. In fact this base is so new it wasn’t even named by the time we printed this month’s patterns! We think you’ll love how much sheen and softness the bamboo adds to this superwash merino sock yarn, making it just perfect for spring and summer knitting. Bamboo fiber doesn’t absorb the dye used to color wool, adding a subtle shimmer to this yarn.
Fiber: 70% superwash merino, 20% bamboo, 10% nylon
Yardage: 410 yards (375 m)/4.0 oz (115 g)
Patterns (by Mary Hull)
Both patterns are brand-new and designed specifically for this box by Mary Hull. Printed in full color with Ravelry download codes also included!
Easy pattern: Against the Grain is the perfect combination of easy but interesting knitting, using just knit and purl stitches to create a fun chevron pattern.
Intermediate pattern: With its ropes, braids, and asymmetrical elements, Jordan Street is a reminder that life’s path is not always easy or straightforward…but the results often have an astonishing beauty.
Always be ready when a knitting emergency strikes! This pocket-size mirror and pop out hair brush also includes a divided container on the other side where you can keep your stitch markers, tapestry needles, and other small tools you’ll be glad to have on hand whenever you’re knitting on the road this summer!
